The box that comes up when a  page updates, how about putting the name of the page there?
 
So instead of
 
Update Scanner
A webpage has been updated
 
make it
 
Update Scanner
Google has updated
or even just display the favicon of the website
 
If multiple pages are updated you can leave it as is, I doubt you can fit too much in that box
