Scanning pages that require authorization

Hi there,

I have a problem with scanning sites that require a username and password.
I have the username and password stored in firefox's password manager.

Previously (FF 2.0.0.13), after I first started FF, updatescanner would attempt to scan the page at some point and the "authorization required" window would pop-up with the correct name+password filled in and I would just hit "OK" and scanning would continue.

With FF 3-beta-5, the "authorization required" window never pops-up and the scan fails (The entry is greyed-out in the sidebar).
However, if I visit the page manually at any time then updatescanner starts to work from that time.

Hope you can sort this as I find this add-on really useful.
Thanks.

Scanning pages that require authorization

I don't think there's an easy way to fix this... FF3 has had a large number of security changes, one of which is that the authorization window is not shown when a page is loaded by an extension. I'm actually quite surprised that it worked in FF2!

OK, thanks for the

OK, thanks for the reply,
How about a work-around: an option to pop-up a warning window when a page scan fails?
That would be enough to remind me to visit the page manually and then, as I said, the scanning continues correctly.
