I keep getting the following error when using Firefox 3.52 on Vista.

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: chrome://searchshield/content/overlay.js:267

Any ideas on how to stop this.

Re: A script on this page may be busy, or it may have ...

I believe Searchshield is the AVG page scanner addon. You can try disabling this addon and see if the problem goes away. http://free.avg.com/faq.num-1241#faq_1254 gives instructions on how to disable this.

I will take a look at this, but I have so far not been able to find the source code to Search Shield - it seems to be part of the AVG virus scanner installer.

Can you please type chrome://searchshield/content/overlay.js into your browser, and post the resulting text here?
